The Program
Coming from experienced writers, it’s best to start as early as possible. Everyone’s writing, be it as a hobby or in pursuit of a career, evolves over time, and it takes decades to find one’s voice. Even after that, another year writing will always show growth. To promote youth poetry, Acedia Journal is partnering with high school writers to widen our reach. These “ambassadors,” each from a different institution, provide young peers with information about the journal’s submission periods.
We ask that our ambassadors participate in as many of the following activities as possible, each to a satisfactory standard:
Send template emails to classes or student bodies
Hang template posters in favorable locations across the school campus
Report completed activities by email and communicate any challenges or concerns
Maintain a response time of under one week
Our ambassadors are passionate students dedicated to the same mission as us and who have the determination necessary for the role. We are always open for applications. To apply, complete the form at the bottom of this page with as much precision as possible. All applications will be responded to, and you can expect to hear from us within two weeks of completion. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email. If you don’t and the issue persists, contact us at queries@acediajournal.com.
Note: all student ambassadors are still able to submit to the journal and participate in contests.
